I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support provided through the Victorian State Government Wildlife grant awarded to Amaroo Wildlife Shelter. We are thrilled to have received this grant, which will significantly enhance our ability to continue rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing native wildlife in the Dandenong Ranges. With this support, we are thrilled to be building a large 3 bay space that can be used to house multiple species of animals and provide adequate storage. We have also been able to plant out the perimeter with a wide variety of native plants which will be used to help feed the wildlife once they have matured. The funding has allowed us to purchase milk formula for the animals, bird baths for the averies, a wheelbarrow for transport, a ladder for rescues and a number of fuel vouchers which are essential items in maintaining the daily requirements of a wildlife shelter.
We would like to extend our gratitude the Tullamarine Men’s Shed who were able to construct 25 brushtail possum boxes, 10 ringtail possum boxes, 5 glider boxes, 6 small joey boxes and 2 large boxes for powerful owls or cockatoos with the money we received. We believe that this support has greatly supported our ability to care for the animals in our care.
Thank you once again for your confidence in our work and for your generous support. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and the positive changes that your investment will help bring about.
