Amaroo Wildlife Shelter
Amaroo Wildlife Shelter is a 24 hour service dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of Australian native wildlife in Melbourne, Australia.
We rescue a diverse variety of animals, predominately marsupials like kangaroos, wombats and possums as well as birds, bats, echidnas and reptiles.
Thanks to your generous donations we provide food, shelter, veterinary care, nurse and release wildlife back to the wild where they belong.
We Rescue Animals
We rescue injured wildlife and nurse them back to full health, through care and nutrition.
We Provide Shelter
We give the beautiful animals a safe, warm environment where they can stay until they're ready for release.
We Provide Food
We ensure each and every animal is given the correct type of food to nurse it back to health.
We Provide Medication
We ensure all rescued animals get veterinary treatment or medication if required.
We Provide Love
Every animal that comes to stay at Amaroo get's treated with love and kindness.
We Save Lives
Amaroo Wildlife Shelter has saved 312 lives of wild animals so far since it opened in 2010.
Each of our rescues has their own unique personality.
We are a not-for-profit volunteer based organisation which relies solely on donations to help the animals we rescue and nurture back to health. We need your help.
